### What it is

A business owned by two or more partners, registered with SSM under a business name.

The partners share the profits and are personally responsible for the business’s debts.

The partnership files Form P; each partner reports their share of the income in their own tax return.

### Who can register

Registration is with SSM. Who can be a partner — for example, the citizenship and residence rules — is set by SSM; we confirm the current requirements for you before you apply.

A written partnership agreement is strongly recommended. We can help you put one in place.
