What are the minimum requirements for a Sdn Bhd?

Minimums under the Companies Act 2016: one director aged 18+ who ordinarily resides in Malaysia and is not bankrupt or disqualified (s.198), one shareholder (the director can be the same person), RM1 paid-up capital, a Malaysian registered office, and a licensed company secretary appointed within 30 days of incorporation (s.236).

"Ordinarily resident" means a principal place of residence in Malaysia — citizenship is not required, so a foreigner genuinely living here can qualify as the resident director.
