What founders ask about ongoing secretarial work.
Yes. Section 235 of the Companies Act 2016 makes it mandatory. The secretary must be a Malaysian resident and licensed by either SSM, MAICSA, MACS, or another prescribed body. Operating without one is a compliance breach with penalties.
