How our answers are written and kept up to date

Where the questions come from

Every answer on this site starts from a question a client or visitor actually asked us. Each answer gives the direct answer first, then the key facts and the official source.

Where the figures come from

Government fees and rules come from the official sources: SSM (Companies Commission of Malaysia), LHDN (Inland Revenue Board) and the Companies Act 2016. Our own prices come from one price list; every page, answer and machine-readable file (llms.txt, pricing.json) is built from it, so they cannot disagree.

Who checks company secretarial content

Answers about company secretarial law and practice follow the rulings of our company secretaries, who hold SSM practising certificates. When a rule changes, they update the ruling and we update every answer that depends on it.

Accounts and tax

Our accounts and tax platform is do-it-yourself software. Answers about accounts and tax explain the official rules and how the platform works; they are not accounting, audit or tax-agent advice. Nobody on our side prepares, reviews, audits, signs or files accounts or tax returns.

Dates

Every answer shows the date its content last changed. A change to the page design alone does not change the date.

Three languages

Every page and answer is published in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese, with the same figures in each. The Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese wording is checked by members of our team who speak those languages.

Corrections

If you find a mistake, email [email protected]. We check it, correct every page that carries it, and the date on those pages changes.

Not advice

Our answers are general information about Malaysian company rules. For your own situation, ask us or another licensed professional.
