What is CRS, and what happened to MyCoID?
MyCoID has been retired. SSM now runs the Corporate Registry System (CRS), live since mid-2026, which replaced MyCoID along with e-Secretary and several other legacy systems. SSM4U is the single sign-on that gets you to it. Incorporation and statutory lodgements all go through CRS now — your company secretary files there.

If you have older bookmarks, guides or advice mentioning MyCoID, they pre-date the change. The underlying law did not move: the Companies Act 2016 requirements, the fees and the filings are the same. What changed is the system they pass through.
CRS also works differently from MyCoID in ways that matter to firms rather than clients: lodgement follows a maker-checker model where one person prepares and another lodges, only one active login is permitted per account, and account activation requires identity verification in person at an SSM counter or a Tap.it kiosk.
