What's the difference between a company secretary and an admin secretary?
A company secretary is a statutory officer under the Companies Act 2016 — licensed, named on the SSM register, and legally accountable for the company's filings and records. An administrative or personal secretary is an office role with no statutory standing. Every Sdn Bhd must have the former; the latter is optional staffing.
