Does my company need an audit?
Some private companies qualify for audit exemption under SSM Practice Directive 10/2024. For financial periods commencing in 2026, meet at least two of three limits: RM2 million revenue, RM2 million assets and 20 employees. The current and preceding two financial years matter. Dormant companies have a separate test; exemption does not remove financial-statement filing.

The phase follows when the financial period starts, not when you lodge: the limits are RM1 million/RM1 million/10 employees for periods commencing in 2025, RM2 million/RM2 million/20 for 2026, and RM3 million/RM3 million/30 from 2027. Apply the directive's preceding-year rules and transitional provisions.
Check excluded company categories and any qualifying members' or Registrar's request for an audit. Banks or investors may also require audited accounts. We assess eligibility with your accountant each year.
