When are my first financial statements due?

Directors must prepare the first financial statements within 18 months of incorporation. For a private company, circulation is generally within six months of financial year end, followed by SSM lodgement within 30 days after circulation. These are separate deadlines. Plan audit time where exemption is unavailable or an audit is otherwise required.

A first year end at month 18 does not itself satisfy the preparation deadline. We coordinate the accounts, approval, circulation and lodgement timetable with your accountant.
