How do I check if a company secretary is properly licensed?
Ask for the practising certificate number issued by SSM under Section 241, or the prescribed-body membership number (MAICSA, MIA, MICPA, MACS, LS), then verify it with the issuing body. A legitimate firm will give you this without hesitation. If someone deflects the question, that is the answer.
