What is a CIDB licence and who needs one?
Contractors generally need CIDB registration before undertaking construction work in Malaysia, subject to statutory exemptions. Local, foreign and joint-venture routes differ. For government construction procurement, check SPKK as well as PPK and the notice requirements. Incorporation and paid-up capital alone do not establish a contractor’s eligibility.
