What records must I keep and for how long?
Accounting records — invoices, receipts, bank statements, ledgers — must be kept for seven years under both the Companies Act 2016 and tax law, and LHDN can require them in an audit years after the fact. Statutory registers and minutes are kept for the life of the company. Digital copies are acceptable if complete and retrievable.
